That's a shame. I often teach somewhere with only enough phone signal to send an email (no internet) - it's not enough to upload via the app or website (I've tried!), so this has been very useful for me.
Without having any access to the email function Blipfoto has become less valuable for me. I've been very glad to have been able to take photos and send them via email (Nokia N1020) for publishing when travelling. I'm not happy about the new Blipfoto even though there are a couple of new things I appreciate. Actually, I'm not sure I'm going to remain here...
It's very disappointing not to be able to upload via e-mail - something I've been able to do before easily when travelling to places where the Android app is unavailable. I hope you will consider reintroducing this.
For me, uploading by email is the most simple and easy method, I hope you will consider implementing it. Flickr, Facebook, Wordpress, Tumblr--all of them allow posting by email.
