The old ratings system was confusing and underused, therefore we have tried to simplify it as much as possible. We have replaced to 1-5 star system with simply one Star.

Great idea!
Has each rating been converted to a star? Good idea.
1-5 stars gave the opportunity to show how much you liked a post , with the added option of favouriting it .
I have to say I only ever gave five stars (or none!), so this makes sense for me.
i however gave what i felt appropriate to each post
Im just trying not to moan at all the changes and give an example of what's a good change for me. I'm not saying it's right for everyone, because change never will be!
Can everybody give a heart now?
Makes so much sense.
Old 5* ratings seem to have been converted to one though?
preferred myself to give 1 to 5 according to the content.
It might have been underused but there was nothing confusing about it
I would like to know if the option to turn stars off is going to be restored?
I love the new one star system.
But recently, about three days ago, I noticed that I was getting notifications for stars being given to my entries, but when I went to reply to comments, I noticed that either my entry had no stars or that the more recently given stars weren't showing up.
Considering the fact that I can't un-give a star (I tested it just to see if that might be the case) I don't think others are able to remove the stars they give as well.
Unless it's a members option?
Just thought I'd bring this to your attention.
I'm happy to see this simplified. It never bothered me but there were too many people upset if their stars weren't a multiple of 5 and especially if they happened to see them incremented by 1.
This makes sense. It was always a strange thing; receiving less than 5 stars was mildly irritating, yet receiving nothing was no bother at all. I see Arachne mentions this in the post above.
Actually this was a good idea. Almost everybody gave 5 stars before. Giving less than five stars came to be "damning with faint praise". Well done.
