"Currently the shop is down while we continue the migration process to the new site. This means that you will not be able to buy a book, membership or any other products.
The shop is a high priority to us here at Blip (and the community!) and the team are working on getting it back up and running soon, so please keep an eye on social media and the blip blog for the latest news.
Apologies that you won't be able to buy anything during this time."
Now that Blipfuture has taken over the running of Blipfoto, we acknowledge that this is one of the members' concerns. Unfortunately, the previous owners had not developed the shop functionality for the new site so any reintroduction would have to start from scratch. The previous shop (pre December 2014), is no longer an option because of the changes that were made to the site around that time.
Currently, our priority is to ensure the site can be sustained through membership fees. Developing a shop would inevitably cost both in terms of money and resources so before we consider this possibility we would have to be confident that it was worthwhile.
Once we have completed our initial priorities for the site we will look at this again.
I am over half way through my first 365, the soul purpose is to purchase my year book......I will still be able to do that won't I?
I hope so as well. The main reason I did it was to order the book and now that I've finally made it through a full year I can't purchase one :( is there any sort of timeline? Especially since I paid to be a full member previously?

I paid membership and continued blipping so that I'd have a third year and a book of this. Please make the books available again ASAP, please don't change the design and please don't brand the books with Polaroid! I did not agree to share my personal snaps with Polaroid.
Will the previous book I bought still be there linked to my account, as I was saving up to reorder so that both my kids have a copy, they are such a uniquely Personal item made real thanks to your platform (that was), I asked the question before but wasn't answered. I would have happily paid for membership again to help avoid the need for sponsorship by Polaroid.
Second the comments above... I'm not happy.
I paid for a lifetime membership to a site the ethos of which I liked and wanted to be part of, and now, only a few months in, I've become a lifetime advert for a company I would not have chosen to advertise... and which I do not trust with my privacy and copyright.
Also, like other commenters, I've paid for the book, I'd like the book. And I do NOT want "polaroid" on it.
Some info on this would be appreciated.
As the comments above, i paid in advance for a book in march 2014 knowing what my 365 day book looked like, please don't change it from how it was before polaroid came on board. If it wasn't for the book I would have failed at making 365 days, which I've completed by the way and really want to order my book now, just the way it was before all the changes.
I reiterate the comments above, I only joined blipfoto to do a 365 challenge and was so looking forward to ordering my own book. I do hope the format will not be altered as a result of the 'merger'/'takeover'!
Having completed 365 consecutive daily blips I too was looking forward to ordering a book. Do please reinstate this availability as soon as possible, and although you have now rebranded as PolaroidBlipfoto and I understand the commercial reality of why you have taken this route, the branding needs to be kept very gentle. Please do not change the excellent design of the book. Change is inevitable and often good, but too much at once is alienating.
I have already bought two books and was about to buy my third year book. It is also important to me that the format is identical to the first two books as I wanted to create a set. Will you let us know when then shop is available again? I appreciate that you have gone into partnership with Polaroid but I also wish to have a book that is only Blipfoto branded and not polaroid. Thanks.
Can we have an update re. the books please?
I really don't understand any of all this - wholesale changes, badly delivered, without the consent of members who made the site what it is, and at the end if the year when a) members and others were finishing 365 days and wanting books etc. and b) you would want to attract new members for the year ahead. But there are SO many glitches and changes. Hard to believe a corporate such as Polaroid can have been helping with this roll-out. I am now 'on strike' and won't be blipping until the books and calendars are back, the glitches sorted and I have information on how Polaroid might use my information and content. The free additional membership is wasted on me at this stage. Don't thank me, just provide me with what I signed up for for three consecutive years.
How hard is it for a reply from Blipfoto? I used to love this site and recommended it to so many. The main reason I joined was to purchase an album and now...I've made it a year...you take it away? On top of that, you can't give a simple timeline or an estimate? Really frustrating and now when I get that little reminder to post a photo I'm just irritated because I remember that I can't obtain the one thing I started a year ago.

Quite disappointed that we are not hearing from the original ones that were always here to answer our queries. Not loving this change, please still honour that community based site again that we all loved.

@Mindseye Yes you will! We are just focusing on stabilising the site at the moment and then the site will reopen with all our products, including the 365 book.

@CynicalWench Your original books will no longer be on our server I'm afraid as it is a new system completely. However the new book platform will be similar to although you'll have to make the book again, it should be reasonably easy if you still have the original.
@LornaMchardy Your support as a lifetime member has always and will always be recognised. The partnership with Polaroid doesn't change anything behind the scenes other than opening the community up to a wider audience, allowing new users to discover the joy of Blip, which in turn may lead to you enjoying their images.

Hi Blip. Reading this I agree. I have also bought two 365 books in the past and my Christmas present is always another year book. Please ensure that the size of the book and outer cover remain the same. Would be good if a landscape photo could go at the top of the page and the writing below as it means the photo can be bigger. Please keep the same layout for the portrait photos. Its inprotant to me they all look the same ont he shelf. Also NO more branding. Happy to advertise Blip but not Polaroid as that's not what I signed up for and paid my life membership for.
Update on when the books production service will be back please.
It's now February. I remain 'on strike'. I would like a book of my third year of blipping. I remained a member for all the services on offer at that time. If you cannot provide this service any more can you tell all the existing members and the 365-ers from 010114 who fulfilled the books so that we can order these directly. You have no idea how dismayed I remain about this.
I think what's annoying me most is that you've not even left me the option of walking away and getting the damn book somewhere else. Having sold me a lifetime membership and the aforementioned book under false pretences... no mention then that it would not actually be available for months, years, who knows...
Had I known that, I would not have bought it.
Had I known about the blipfoto merger, I would not have bought it.
Not much I can do about that now, is there.
But can you please at least do us the courtesy of answering the question and give us a time scale and an assurance that the book at least will be what we paid for even if the lifetime membership isn't!
I really really hate being treated with contempt by people I buy stuff from.
What I really want, is my money back, for the membership, and the book. I didn't get what I bought in good faith, and I want my money back.
Having commented on this a month ago, it is disappointing and impolite that there is no further update. Please do us all the courtesy of responding with some kind of timescale for reintroduction of the 365 book. It is rude to leave us in limbo.
Am I creating my second year of blips for a book for nothing?
I am getting really annoyed I can't finish my first book, one that I've paid for and Im pretty sure if NOT clammed my March my money disappears into thin air.
Even if you decided right this very moment that your shop appears again am I going to have enough time to edit my 365 day book?
Come on this is not what I signed up for and what I paid a life membership for, if you want me to s-p-e-l-l it out to you I only joined so I could have something to show for a year a BOOK....I still have nothing, not a bean, not a word, nothing!!!!!

Hi everyone on this thread. I didn't want to do this but seeing that there hasn't been an official response on this thread I feel that I should share the response I got when I asked via an email. Short version is the shop won't be ready for a couple of months, they can't say what the design of the book will look like, and the software used to generate the book doesn't exist anymore as it was tied to the old site. I think to get a book together I am going to have to start from scratch using an alternative provider which will be very complicated and as it won't self generate from the content of course. It's all so disappointing and very upsetting. I just don't understand why they didn't warn members and put in this change after the turn of the year and once people had a chance to produce their books.
Well I would have thought the answer to that was blindingly obvious... had people known, they wouldn't have sold the lifetime memberships.
Now I really want my money back.

Well what's happening on here?blip has changed beyond all recognition e mails go unanswered still what more can we expect it's been sold out to Polaroid as soon as they came in everything changed for the worse.......what do others think?

Well... the first one got an answer that completely sidestepped what I'd said, and the second one pointing this out got ignored.
Blipfoto Limited are now in liquidation.
So Im guessing because Blipfoto is now no longer I'm never going to get my book or my money. Thanks for ripping me off!!
