Problem with the map

I have just posted a blip on an exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris France. After the tedious search starting with the United States, I easily found the Grand Palais in Paris. But when I click on or near the building, I get the usual map ID flag rather than the usual blip symbol. This has happened before--we often visit museums. This is annoying; it NEVER happen on the old site. Minor perhaps (though not for me) but please look into it. Thank you.

I am not sure I understand what you mean. Two things. First surely you typed Paris in to the search box (top right) and it took you straight to Paris or offered you a choice from the various Paris names round the world.

Second I am not sure by the usual map ID flag rather than the blip symbol. If by usual ID flag you mean an inverted red teardrop shape with a central dot, that is all I have ever had in the new system.

It still works to mark where the shot was taken so it hasn't been a problem for me.
