I hope the old forums are not erased - I often popped back there for info on techniques, books, purchases...

I can't seem to find older topics. For example, I had a thread (in the old 'Off Topic' topic) on images that haunt. Others posed some great links. I presume it isn't simply erased?

There was a notification in the old forums that the data could not be transferred to the new system, asking us to contact BlipCentral about any threads we wanted to have transferred manually. Don't know if it's too late now :( I didn't use the forums much, but there was a lot of useful info there.
Really? Blast. I never saw that notice.
Nope, I didn't see that either. Odd that it wasn't mentioned in one of the many emails we had about the changes. All those '20 questions' threads gone forever....
I would have thought that the forum discussions (tedious, long-winded and repetitive as some of them could be) offered an archive: part of the evolving history of Blipfoto. They recorded its changes and the many different attitudes blippers have to the site. And there were interesting little projects, such as Kendall's collaborative neighborhood street portraits.
Absolutely right, Skyroad.
Some of the challenges have survived in the new Challenges area. I specifically asked them to transfer current ones (e.g. the December challenge, Mono Monday), and Kendall's One Street is there. But yes, a lot of blip history is gone. I mourn all the arguments about Spotlight, now gone forever :)
Surely they can't have deleted Add Three Words?????????
I agree with your comment that it would be an archive of how the site has developped over the years.
What happened to "Add 3 Words"????? We seem to have lost a community connection here.
