Are you on computer or mob device? Link option is there on computer - little icon like a chain at the bottom of text compose and comment boxes next to bold, italics, underscore and strike through - opens a box to put in the URL and the text as before (only white).

The link option is there, but it doesn't work. If I click on the link I inserted, it says, "Safari cannot not find...." Same thing in Firefox.
I thought my link wasn't working also "safari can't find" etc, but realised when I went back to edit that it had copied in the http twice. Maybe make sure you have fully cleared the box before copying in your link? Worked for me!
Skip, I am guessing you probably have http bit twice. When you get the not found message, look in the browser address bar where it is trying to take you. You mention Safari so guess you are on a Mac. I'm PC based but for me if I hover cursor over a link the address shows in a dialogue box bottom left. If you see http://https:// that will be the problem. The link box is pre populated with http:// to remind you it is required if you were manually typing in the URL starting with www but if you cut and paste a link you need to delete or paste over the text already in the box as the http bit comes with the copied link. Hope that makes sense.
There's a very minor difference in the new link dialog which I think is causing this issue. On the old blip, when you clicked the link button, the box that came up was pre-populated with http:// -- but the text was highlighted (selected). So if you just used Ctrl-V to paste your link in, it overwrote the superfluous http://. In the new dialog, the http:// is there, but it's not selected, and the cursor is at the end of it. So if you do what you did before and just Ctrl-V without looking at the result, you'll end up with http://http:// and thus the link won't work.
Such a little detail, yet it causes so much hassle! Get into the habit of deleting the contents of the box before pasting your link, and you should be OK.
NB all this is based on using a computer, I don't have a tablet or smartphone so it could be different there.
You can also simply copy or type in the link adress in your text and it becomes a link automatically
Glad to hear someone's managed to make a link work - have tried all these answers but none of them have worked for me.
Another not fixed yet to add to the list?
