New Blippers

Ok, taking on board all of the changes I would like to welcome all of the new users attracted by the new global Blip.
However I don't see an option in the Browse menu, shame as its nice to get a real not computer generated welcome.

Yes I agree, if ever I had more than a few minutes it was nice to see the new journals and give folks a warm welcome.

I have already mentioned elsewhere how I feel this page having gone missing is another step in my feeling that the community is disintegrating.

You are right it is good to be able to welcome new blippers personally.

I used to like welcoming new blippers too, partly because it was potentially a way of gaining new subscribers! ;-) But seriously, it's yet another nail in the coffin of community.

I joined just after Christmas last year and as far as I can tell/remember I was never welcomed by the actual Blip Website.
Another member did welcome me and it made the website more personal to me, it was nice to be acknowledged. So yes, I agree, it would be nice to be able to see new members.
