Icons, etc.

I only recently completed a year of consecutive blips (Jan 1 to Dec 31) though I've been a member for nearly eight years. I had thought that this would be registered, in the icon-colour perhaps. But looking at the icon colour variation chart thingy I see that there doesn't appear to be one for consecutive blips, but rather for years of Blip membership. At least that's what I assume they are for, in which case shouldn't mine be that odd turquoise shade, rather than green, as I have been here well over four years? Not that any of this matters in the long, short or medium run.

The colour of your camera icon is determined by your total number of blips, not the duration of your membership in years or the number of consecutive blips.

It was always like this - though until the recent changes the number of blips that counted started from your date of first signing up. Now it includes all post-blips as well.

Thanks for that JC. I never paid any attention to those icons till a couple of days ago. So the 'years' on the key/chart only refer to the accumulated number of blips. Useful to get that learnt.

There is a new awards icons on your profile. They're like achievements that don't appear next to your name. There's consecutive 100, 200, 300 etc badges.
