What the hell is cloudfront?

Blip is using cloudfront.net to store all photos. Does anyone know what that is?

If you view source you'll see that all images have cloudfront.net URLS, e.g.
https://d3jf2jipiivcgq.cloudfront.net/2034707996547cac9bc584c8.00900352.jpg

I'm concerned, esp. re Copyright.

Just relax, nobody will steal your photos! What will they do with it anyway with all the trillion and trillion of photos in all the cloud services!!
