In the days of Grey Blipland, we were given very handy examples of how to search — things like "by me", "tagged such-and-such", "in 2010" and the like. I've just seen an instance of a search by another member which included "@me". Is that the new version of the old "by me"? What about other search terms?
It would be very helpful if BlipCentral could provide instructions about how to search White Blipland.

I find the search facility almost useless. For example it doesn't seem able to connect two words. e.g. Great Haywood the second blip shown was for the Haywood gallery! Sorry that is no help. Yes going by the searches I have tried using the old wording by x they appear as @x after the search hasn't found anything.
So as you say some help and guidance from blip central would be appreciated.
Have discovered single tags need to be preceded by # and @ has replaced by me, but still not found out how to do the dates or multiple tags! A guide would be most helpful! Entries are also not returned in date order which is a bit weird :/
As far as I can see, the old search function is still working. For example, I searched for "by wayoflife tagged fence" and I got all my fence photos. (The photos are more exciting than they sound...honest).
I've notice that the website automatically replaces the "by" with "@" and "tagged" with "#" but it still works on my iPhone (Mercury and Safari) and Mac desktop (Firefox).
Does anyone have a list of the old search functions?
I have tried both your suggestion on a desk top PC using Firefox and neither worked. I was searching for a tag I knew I had used.
Perhaps it is something wrong with my account.
Incidentally both searches show @me #tag word in a box and below says no results found.
@Jerra, sorry, you're right, it's not working, although I did double-check before I posted. It must have remember the search somehow, but that also means it was working a few days ago because I used that search.
However, on my iPhone the @ and # both work, in a fashion. All the entries are in reverse order so I'm getting stuff from years ago.
In grey blipland, when you searched by tag, you would always get results in reverse date order, i.e. newest first. As others have said "tagged tree by me" has now become "#tree @me", but the old syntax still works. I was never convinced searching on multiple tags (i.e. photos tagged both tree and winter) worked properly in grey blipland, so nothing's changed there.
In both grey and white blipland, if you search for a word or phrase, i.e. you enter "tree" and not #tree, results are returned by "relevance" so they will be all jumbled up. The old date options such as "today", "last week" no longer work at all, which is a shame.
As far as I can see, none of this is explained anywhere -- I just figured it out by trial and error.
i can't find squat. maybe it's because i'm not familiar with hashtags etc. maybe because i don't know how to use the search. i just want to search for the photo of my dietitian to include in my blip today. i may have her tagged as "people" or "friend". don't know for sure. wasn't that disciplined as a tagger back then. if i only knew then what i know now. would have tagged her guadaloupe. nonetheless, can't find either 'people" or "friends." it's screwing with my blip today. i can post it w/o the link back to her later but then no one will see it after they comment and go away forever!
