Mapping
The new map is really frustrating. There is no "within map" search function, and the default takes you to the whole world view each time you upload. It doesn't even retain your place from the last time you posted. Given that most people blip from roughly the same place every day, surely this can be improved. Or bring the old mapping system back.

As an add-on; I clicked on the map to add my entry to it and LOST my entire entry. Plus, I've tagged lots of places and the only Blips that show up in the US for me are in Kansas, 2012.
So yeah, I think that may need a bit of work.

Let me add my name to the same problem - first time using the site and can't work out how to add a location. Ended up with a map of the world and, having finally scrolled down to the right country, town and street and added the red marker button, couldn't get back to my blip entry. Had to re-select the picture, retype the whole description, tags, etc. There must be a way to do this - if not why not just disable mapping meantime?

Yup, I've had the same problem as Paladian (already mentioned it on another thread about maps). I really miss the old mapping system as it was easy to use and accurate. I know that my sister (Woodpeckers) has lost whole entries while trying to place them on the new map.
