A major step backwards

You have taken a minimal interface that made effective use of screen real-estate and created something that is much slower to use with these unnecessarily large thumbnails (did you try this on an MB Air?). The 'Extras' page linking to plugins seems to have disappeared and the white background is far too harsh. Unless things improve fast, I won't be renewing my subscription.

Hi Ian, there are still loads of new (and existing) features to be rolled out. As we explained previously, the roll out of the site was accelerated due to the speed and stability issues the previous platform was experiencing. We are still working hard to bring back more functions after launch bugs are fixed.

I loved blip the way it was. Minimalist and different. I'm a lifetime member so maybe I'll get used to the changes, maybe I won't. I certainly don't feel the same incentive to login every day...
I've had a brief break from blipping for the last week or so as I was distracted by my last few days of work before retirement. I was imagining that I might document my new life via blip. Not so sure now that I've logged in to the new site. It's a big shock!
Rolling out changes before everything is ready is the way flickr went when I left in disgust in 2013. I hoped that with a site that seemed more community focused that things might be different but it doesn't seem to be the case. Never mind, life moves on. I'm sure I'll find an outlet for my photography whether it's here or somewhere else yet to be discovered...
