Check the settings info. I seem to remember that members have the option to turn off various things like receiving comments, making blips publicly viewable to non-blip members, making view figures visible, receiving stars etc. However, with so many glitches in the new system there could be a problem blipcentral needs to be alerted to on comments. Are some members receiving noticeably fewer comments than previously? In my case, I've received very few comments (none on most of them) since I became a member in March and that may reflect that I have few very followers. Bizarrely, though, I've had more comments on the posts since the site relaunch. I've also had more views more quickly in the first 24 hours on new blips but almost no views after 24 hours once a blip ceases to be my latest one. Previously, I used to like following how quickly my view figures reached 100 (it was 10 to 14 days with most blips) to see which thumbnails or subject matters attracted people quickly and which didn't. I'm here because I like taking the sort photos I like taking and photos that record my life and blip gives me the incentive to snap many more things than I used to snap but I'm also on blip because other people might like looking at my pictures as I do other people's. Comments, stars, views and followers do encourage me to be a member of blip. If I always had few or none of these things, I might as well keep a private photo diary on my desktop for my eyes only. Incidentally, I've lost nearly all my old views. The most viewed blip remains the most viewed - but the figure has fallen from over 500 on the old website to 81 on the new one. My earliest backdated blip has fallen from over 400 to just 4. Dispiriting - but I think this is a glitch that may be sorted out and I know they're working hard at blipcentral.
