I agree tags should be available IF somebody chooses to click and have them show.

tags are ...
too visible?...
any way of hiding them?
they're too prominent (esp if people use a few = more than 1!?)...
just a thought...
visible tags are not as painful as the invisibility of the font... (size and colour)

I agree- they are my private filing system. I preferred the old system where you had to click to look at them
