I crop mine to a little bit larger than my monitor as no one can view them at a larger size than frame filling their screen. The only benifit is the time it takes to upload. I've not been aware of any sharpness issues though tonal and colour subtleties appear to be affected. Other websiites (Facebook etc.) are far worse.

FollowOptimal pixel dimensions
Is there an optimal pixel dimension for the uploaded photo so that it would not be blurred when displayed on the journal/entry page ? I used to upload 3500 x 3500 px pictures which came out quite blurred.
I've followed RockArea's advice to reduce the long edge to 1200 px before uploading. That seems to improve sharpness somewhat, but blurring has not gone away. Does anybody know the right dimensions ?

350 by 350 pixels is tiny, really tiny, it would be too small to view properly; is that a typo?
