Can sombody tell me what Derelict means? I am Dutch and cannot even find the answer when I translate it in Google. Is there another word for it?

Derelict Sunday...
...up to midnight on Sunday October 2nd - tag DS50.
I'm doing one last week, then freespiral takes over for the rest of October - which includes DS52, ie a whole year's worth! Celebrate with us and find some beautiful dereliction to tag!

I checked an online translator and it came up as verlaten.
Other words could be decay, redundant, falling down ....
