Recovering Photographs ?

Hi ,I recently lost of a few of my photographs from a memory storage stick and I would like to get them back on jpeg format. As they are stored in my gallery on Blipfoto I am wondering if there is any way to recover them from here. regards Bruce

If you're using Blipfoto on the web, there is a download option under the image.  It creates a file with a name like '2659020189982525406.jpg'.  The file retains all of the embedded image information such as the date taken, camera model etc.

I hope this is helpful.

When I view my photos on Blipfoto, e.g.

https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2659020189982525406

There's information on the right, under the image.  It includes tags, camera info and so in.

Under that there's a set of four symbols for 'Location', 'Edit', 'Bin' and 'Download'.

I've clipped this bit of the screen and pasted it here: https://ibb.co/MZWhZNZ

Clicking on the fourth button downloads the image.

I hope that helps.

I'm hoping that someone on the Blipfoto staff will be able to help.

The only thing that comes to mind at the moment is whether you are a full member.  'Download Originals' is listed as a benefit of full membership.

I hope that this is helpful.

If you can't recover the photos via Blipfoto directly (you may need to use a web-browser on the likes of a PC or Mac, rather than, say, a phone), you may be able to recover them from a memory card or USB drive - even if you've deleted them from the card/drive, and even if you've formatted the car/drive afterwards. The only way you wouldn't be able to recover them would be if you deleted them or formated the card/drive, then overwrite the area where they were stored, or of course, if the card/drive was damaged in some way.

If you've ever used any Sandisk Extreme Pro type memory cards (in genuine original packaging), they normally come with a wee piece of paper that gives you a free one year's license to use their Rescue Pro software. Keep those bits of paper for when you need them... says he from experience! Just be wary that the software will retrieve everything that was on the card or drive, so you'll need to have an equivalent amount of computer drive space available for all that data, plus if it was a large card or drive to be recovered, it will often take a long, long time - especially so if the drive was in any way corrupted. So don't give up on it, and allow for that time before starting.

Of course, the Blipfoto Team may be able to assist, when they have a moment in their busy lives beyond caring for this wonderful website.

Good luck!
