Blipfoto App not working correctly with Android 11

Hi,

I upgraded my phone to Android 11 and BlipFoto does not work correctly with this version. Photo's are not being displayed. Tested it on another phone with Android 11 and the same behavior exists there.

I would be very happy if you could fix this.

Regards,

Martine

I have the same issue. Photos are not displayed in the Blipfoto app with the latest issue of Android. Thus I am unable to browse other people's photos, star or comment on them.

I hope you can resolve this problem soon.

This issue is also present on Android 12.

Tried a reinstall and that hasn't helped.

Just a note to the Blipfoto software gurus, if they need beta testers for any potential solutions, I'm happy to help.

I had the same issue with Android 12 contacted Blipfoto and the new versions are not compatible with older Blipfoto. So inwas advised to use the Web version and I must say it's way better than the app so I have now deleted the app and Web version is all I use. I hope this HELPS 🙏

Sadly it's not enough just to go to the web. I used to browse other blippers' photos on my phone in the mornings and I just can't do that anymore. I feel I'm missing out.

emailed Blipfoto support in September 2024 and they told me this, so I'm sharing it here as they don't seem to be answering these forum questions themselves...."The phone apps have not been formally supported since the community takeover of the site in 2016. The Android App worked for some time but more recent updates to the Android operating system broke the app and we have not been in a position to affect a repair. We made the decision not to support the apps when the amount of money raised to buyout the site fell short of our original target. The App had already fallen behind the functionality of the website, as we continued to add to its development.

The new site developed in 2014 was designed to be mobile complaint and the mobile browser version of the site now covers all the functionality needed. To add an icon to your home screen on your mobile device just follow the instructions in our FAQ:
