I'm in. Was thinking of suggesting something myself. From Oakham myself. I'm always in favour of a venue where we can sit and chat - not just stand behind our cameras!

Brilliant now there are 6 of us
So we need somewhere central to us all and a time convienent to us all
Any suggestions for a meet up town and I expect we can all make some time to meet within the next month to 6 weeks
As I've never arranged anything like this before I'm open to suggestions please

So we've got Leicester, Hinckley, Nottingham, Sleaford and Oakham. Somewhere like Melton Mowbray would seem to be central - or Melton / Loughborough area anyway. We had a suggestion of Calke from Helen - depends whether Audrey would go that far West?

Melton sounds a great idea frankbrett its just Audrey is so far away I will try and contact her later and see what she thinks
but we now hopefully have a town just a venue to meet at[i know Melton a bit ]should be good

Melton sounds good to me, I've never been there before. I can only do weekends as I work Monday to Friday.

I know I'm the one who suggested Melton. That was primarily because I thought we needed to be a bit more towards the East. There isn't a lot of interest to photograph (maybe the Church), but if we just want to meet for a drink / snack and a chat then there are some places - I can think of the 'Anne of Cleves' pub (next to the church) for a start, but I'll get some recommendations from my daughter who knows the town well. Saturday is Market Day and it gets busy, so I would opt for a Sunday. An alternative, if people want to do some more interesting photography as well as meeting up is to go to the Great Central Railway in Loughborough (which has a café apparently).

I think sunday sounds good as most people have commitments in the week
I'm good for melton or Loughborough
And a meet and chat is nice so a pub/cafe as a starting point then a wander .
