What a grumpy lot we are!

Goodness me, what a vocal minority there is here. 'Blipfoto has ruined my life' 'Blipfoto has sold me a dud' 'We photographers are sensitive souls'...etc.

It's been here for three days! Give it a chance. You know that Blip isn't the faceless corporate monsters of all the other websites being referred to, you know that life is change and as PC & laptop sales plummet to rising tablet sales, the old site just wasn't going to stand the test of time.

Try not to take things personally, remember the whole point of blip and stop shouting about how outraged you are. There are bigger issues out there to get outraged about and you are not my spokesperson.

(*Ready for the outraged backlash)

Wow, that's what I say so many times when I see people moaning about first world problems and here I am being one of the vocal complainers, getting angry and frustrated about this site .. you've made me stop and think ... what the hell am I really complaining about!! I've been reading about all the atrocities carried out in the world .. and I'm moaning about a blog .. albeit my very favourite one on the net .. but even so you're right! That being said, it's still good to give feedback.

I am not grumpy, I just care about things. Some big things but also some small things - they are not mutually exclusive. I certainly do not claim to be your spokesperson, but the world needs "vocal minorities".

At first they came for the grey background, and I did nothing.....

I spent over forty years earning my living as an engineer. Redesigning Blip is an engineering task but has not been done to engineering protocols. There wasn't enough time given for testing before rolling out the new changes: there are many features that don't work any longer and many legitimate complaints about the changes.
And the attitudes of some of those who like the changes are as aggressive as the worst of the complainers.
At the end of the day, those of use who don't like the new site will leave the community and we will all be the poorer for it.

The point is (well in my opinion) if people don't make their feelings know blip central will feel OK job done and leave things as they are. Many of us have paid for certain features why should we be denied them just because complaining annoys you.

I personally feel more (or perhaps even some) beta testing and being prepared to wait longer until features were developed might have reduced the complaints.
