Publish Button URGENT

I see other issues are being answered but I'mstill waiting for a message back from blip central and also on here asking why the publish button isn't working for me.

I've tried logging out and back in, everything is right, I can upload a pic, write the journal, choose the date .. but the publish button STILL won't work .. from yesterday till now!

Hi Linda,

Sorry that this is happening for you. It's not a bug that's been widely reported, so we're trying to think why this might be happening?

Can you please tell us what browser you are using? Safari? Chrome? etc... Also, how are you accessing Blipfoto? (through a desktop/laptop computer or through a mobile device?)

We'll try and get to the bottom of this as soon as possible for you!

One thought... Are you getting a message at the top of the screen when you're uploading the image? Have you got an image already on the date that the image is trying to upload against?

Please do let me know. I hope to be able to sort this for you right away!

Hello and thank you. I have used my normal browser Opera and also tried Chrome, where I couldn't even upload the image and then tried Maxthon. I have Firefox but there's so much goes wrong with that browser that I can't use it.

I'm accessing through my laptop. I'm not getting any message at the top just one that says my image has 100% uploaded and the day I'm trying to blip for is the 17th and my last blip is the 16th.

I just have no clue why it's happening .. I've tried logging out, and back in and using a new window but nothing works.

Thanks very much

I had a similar problem last evening and tried multiple browsers and tries only to discover that my image file was too large. Once I reduced the jpg size, I was able to publish without a problem.

Hi Osuzanna, I don't know about this new forum but if I had a too small or large pic in the other set up it would tell me. I don't get any message to say it's too large. It just says it's 100% uploaded. I would imagine that an error message would appear if the image wasn't the right size, but thanks for your suggestion.

Omg I've just tried again to upload, it's soooo frustrating!! If I wasn't so close to my year I'd give up and go some place else.

It shouldn't be up to the users of the site to work out the bugs, to change browsers, to know about probs that might be techy, I just want to post my blip ffs!!! Sorry but I'm so frustrated with this system.

Hello Official Answer .. is there any answer yet? I've written to blip central direct and have, after 12 hours, still not had a reply. I would very much like to get to my first birthday but if I can't upload I can't do that .. not happy!

I've not received a reply from blip central either but have had lots of suggestions and advice from blippers, here is some of it. Try a different browser .. and logging in and out, but what worked for me was I used a different laptop and on that one I got an error message when I uploaded my image that said it was too small .. I changed the image size and hey ho it uploaded right off, but on my laptop I use all the time I wasn't getting that error message, so had no clue why I couldn't publish it. If you've got another machine try that or if not .. try changing the size of your image .. try making it smaller or larger, whatever you think it needs and try again .. good luck.

Also I think I should have got a reply from blip central, it's been over a day now and if I hadn't tried or hadn't got another machine I'd still be trying to upload three days after the new roll out!! Not acceptable. What if I hadn't got another machine or I didn't think of it? There must be a flaw your end that stops that error message coming up about image size!! As someone else pointed, uploading is pretty much the most important part of blip as we want to get an image up each day .. so please address uploading problems.

For what it's worth I am having problems as well. using Bravo browser (as I have all year). If left alone the page eventually times out with this error message:

This page isn’t working

www.blipfoto.com took too long to respond.

HTTP ERROR 504

but the picture is uploaded. This may not be the same for all other users but it does point to a fault at the server end - some script failing probably and not returning anything to the browser either to indicate success or an error.
