Clarification

So, the "thanks" I get for buying a full membership to a site that no longer offers many of the features I paid to use, but might offer some of them, or better ones in the future, but who really knows, is the opportunity to gift a lifetime membership to a friend. How is that a gift to me in any way? What exactly do I get? And what would the recipient of such a "gift" get? I wouldn't be able to even describe Blip anymore. And it's insulting to so blatantly use me to build membership and pass it off as a gift to me. This whole thing is just the worst changeover ever - it's like everything you shouldn't do.

Oh, I was really pleased with the gift to someone else idea. I can imagine it is hard to give a life time member anything more than we have (okay, current turbulence notwithstanding). I just left a comment on another thread about how much improved the tags are, for example. I am excited to see what comes next. In the mean time I know I can offer a cool gift to someone I know and hopefully they (without our history) will see a steadily improving site. Cool idea! :)

I too am a lifetime member and have only found out about this "gift" from reading the Q & A from the weekend, as I am not receiving emails from blip central for some reason even though I have subscribed to them ??? !!!
