I think it depends on what kind of device you're using....I can get these on my mobile, but not my laptop.

Is there any way you can put/create an actual star and heart within your comments - rather than an asterisk and 'fav' ?

On a laptop, there's a star key near the top in the middle *
A heart can be typed using the Alt key at the same time as the 3 on the numbers pads ♥
